How it works
Three steps, and nobody travels on a maybe.
- 01
Post a trip, or ask locally
Put up the city and the dates you'll be there. Not going anywhere? Send a local request in the city you already live in.
- 02
Ask, or be asked
Either side can start it. Either side can say no, and owes nobody a reason.
- 03
Agree it in writing
Kind of shoot, day, place, and who pays whom — settled in the chat before anyone sets off. Afterwards you review each other.
Arrangements
First question: who pays?
Nobody.
TFP — time for photos
You each give a shoot's worth of time and both keep the pictures. How most books get started.
The photographer.
Paid talent
The photographer hires the model — an agency-signed professional or someone standing in front of a camera for the first time.
The client.
Paid photographer
You hire the photographer — for a birthday, a graduation, a holiday, the two of you, or pictures of your own small business.
Whichever it is, it's written down before anyone travels. Money goes directly between the two of you — LensPair never holds it and never takes a cut.
Safety
Someone you trust knows where you are.
Share any shoot with up to two people. They get a link showing who you're meeting, where and when. They don't need an account, and the person you're meeting is never told.
Set a time to be back. If you haven't checked in by then, we email them — automatically, whether or not your phone is on.
A group chat can't do this.
What your two people see — no sign-in
Verified Instagram
See that the account is really theirs before you agree to anything.
Sealed, mutual reviews
Both sides write before either reads. Then neither can be edited.
